I do love suits to the point they became my go to outfits. Whenever I have to go for an appointment or at school, I feel a good suit is always elevating your look and by ripple effect boost self-confidence.
That’s why I believe investment in suit stable pieces is really worth it. When we start to have filled our wardrobe with neutral colors, opting for colorful suits that fit our skin tone is definitely the best way to elevate your look and adding a touch of color to your look gives the impression we are not wearing the same type of outfits all over again.
However, to choose wisely a colorful blazer and trouser suit, I would always keep in mind some tricks I learned throughout time.
1 – Monochrome
Opting for a monochrome colorful suit always appear more put together. Not only if you opt for a monochrome suit, you can wear the full look matching the blazer with the trouser of the same color but it can also be used mixing and mismatching colors once you get more suits. If you want to go for a colorful suit on a budget, I would rather avoid print on colorful suits because it could decrease the elegant effect.
2 – High quality fabrics
Choosing colored suits requires to focus the attention on high quality materials because cheaper polyester used by fast fashion brands tend to decrease the elegant effect of the suit and in this case it is better to opt for neutral colors. A bad quality material is always more visible on colored items whereas neutrals such as white, beige, brown and black might appear more elegant even if they are not made of high quality materials.
As I couldn’t find my suit anymore, here are some similar pieces to recreate the yellow suit look.
