Whenever the temperature goes down, we take out our thick layers and what generally comes out is that we end up wearing dark colors most of the time. I do love wearing black garments but if I’m wearing black all the time I feel I am always wearing the same outfit as every one out there. This is why I like so much this look I am currently wearing because I have some black garments out and there but by pairing it with a beige fake leather coat and a beige pair of high boots I feel I’m wearing a totally different look.
Outerwear is the garment that takes most of the space on our body especially during winter. That’s why I believe we shouldn’t neglect it and invest in different types of coat to avoid looking boring. I really like this fake leather jacket also made with fake fur because it stands out of the usual types of coat we tend to opt for. In recent years, I try to purchase less leather and opt for alternatives such as for this fake leather coat and you know what? We don’t even see the difference with real leather, isn’t it amazing?
Here are three tips on how to choose a fake leather coat:
1. Purchase outerwear in neutral tones
That’s why we should all invest in different types of coat in different colors to not end up looking boring. Obviously you might wonder well it is more complex to pair a colorful coat with your outfit. However, I do believe that if you invest in neutral colors such as white, beige, camel, grey, brown and light pink, these can be easily paired with any outfits. Evenmore, opting for colored coats is what will makes us stand out because if you look at people in the streets when the weather get colder, everyone is wearing a black coat.
2. Opt for bi-colored outerwear
Another alternative is to opt for a bi-colored coat. The one I linked below is a good example that you can have a black coat mixed with another color such as beige and this makes already a big difference to a look. Even more, opting for bi-colored or light colors is what will makes us stand out because if you look at people in the streets when the weather get colder, everyone is wearing a black coat.
3. Choose quality over quantity
Outerwear takes most of the space on our body meaning that most of our budget should be allocated to this department. I purchased my coat from Stand Studio on a second hand website because I could not find it on their website. I like this brand mainly to the fact they produce high quality and warm coat in fake leather which is not common. Their price are mid-range but I have to say for a good outerwear it is better to invest in high-medium brand. A coat is the first item we see on you so really don’t neglect the effect it can have on your whole look appearance.
If you are on a budget and wish to buy a coat from a high-medium brand, there are still alternatives. You can shop on a trustful second hand website like I did for really more affordable price. Another way is to wait for sales.
